Windows 7 – Understanding the Tools & Techniques for Deployment and Management

"Windows 7 has received an overwhelmingly positive response from IT management across the globe. Its uptake is gaining significant momentum due to its new and updated features, focus on performance improvements and greater stability.

So if you’re not already in the process of planning its deployment then undoubtedly you will be in the foreseeable future as it quickly becomes the default desktop Operating System within organisations.

During this session, Kyle Rosenthal, an accomplished Microsoft Certified Trainer, MVP and regular presenter at Microsoft events globally will discuss the new and improved Deployment methodologies that will ease the pain of an upgrade from either Windows XP or Vista.

He’ll show you the tools that Microsoft have produced to enable your deployment - no matter the size of your organisation.

This month whilst presenting at TechEd Europe, he managed the deployment of 250 windows desktops with an average of 400Gb of data and achieved this inside 2 days using these tools!

He’ll also discuss the management tools that are available to make the command, control and support of the newly deployed machines a breeze.

The presentation will include demonstrations of these tools so you can see exactly what it will mean when you deploy Windows 7 within your organisation.

Kyle is an accomplished Trainer and Consultant for Windows Client and Server. He has presented at multiple TechEd events and is regularly seen at Microsoft events around the world - most recently TechEd Europe. He has also been a senior Technical Readiness presenter for Microsoft Australia - presenting on Enterprise Deployment and Windows 7.

He has been awarded an MVP 2 years in a row for his work with the Windows Client ecosystem. He has been working with Windows Server 2008 for over 4 years and has written a number of the first look labs for use worldwide for the official Microsoft Windows launch events. He is also the owner of WindowsPCguy.net."
